However, as I worked on the weekend I was able to take some time off today. Yippee! Luckily for me Quintessential Quilts had a beginners hand quilting workshop on today so I was able to go and try my hand at it. Here are the results...
Front:
The wonderful teacher, Robyn, said I did pretty well for my first time and I was very happy with how it turned out. I did have difficulty getting the required 'rocking motion' but Robyn assures me this will come with practice.
I was also able to sneak in a little stitching on one of my table runner tops on one or two evenings last week and finished appliqueing the stars on while waiting at the doctor's this arvo. Now I just need some star trails and it will be ready to quilt. Here is a sneak peak...
Looking forward to my workshop in a couple of weeks so I can learn basic machine quilting and finish some of these items off.

Great hand quilting Tracy. A day off work to go to a workshop - yippee! We had Worlds Biggest PG Day at Whitemans last Wednesday, they estimate the crowd at 7000 this year, a record event for the park - it was a big, long, hot day but we even got on the news on 2 channels so well done all round. Hello Tracy, nice to "meet" you and I hope you are enjoying blogland. I am also quite new to the phenomenon, starting on a whim last December. Even though non of my friends blog, I really love it and other bloggers. Finding the inspiration and encouragement from people I hardly know is somehow heartwarming.

Thanks Tracee. I quite enjoyed it although my neck is a little stiff today from holding it at an awkward angle. LOL. I heard World's Biggest was epic. Hi Cath, nice to meet you too. I am definitely enjoying blogland...in fact I'm finding it quite addictive! I know what you mean about inspiration and encouragement from other bloggers.
